To create the logo for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Each shape represents a piece of energy. The shapes are breaking through the Olympic emblem, which is symbolic of breaking through barriers. The main shape is deliberately the same as the Olympic emblem to convey the Paralympics equal importance to the Olympic games.
The final design is a carefully crafted piece of balanced design. The shapes work well together, they break the main emblem without distracting from its form, the components create a striking composition within the mark creating something original and distinctive especially for the London 2012 Paralympic games.
