Design an intervention for the reception area of venturethree using ice lolly sticks and base it upon a seaside theme costing £500.

I was inspired by A La Ronde which is an 18th century cottage/folly created by two eccentric spinsters where they installed an elaborate shell grotto in the middle of their home. I wanted to create a modern interpretation of a grotto using chip forks and lolly sticks to embellish the interior of a beach hut.

The installation consisted of a customised shed on a raised platform. It was painted in vivid colours giving it a contemporary twist. I also made a chandelier using droplets of lolly sticks and chip forks. The interior was decorated in formations of chip forks and lolly sticks mimicking 18th formations using clusters of found seaside objects such as shells to create pattern.
